Today is the day of your life-changing treatment. You will leave with a fixed full mouth reconstruction that is meticulously designed and expertly executed to closely resemble your original dentition.
Our team of skilled professionals is here to ensure your comfort and care throughout the entire process.
You may have waited years for this moment, dreaming of a solution to your denture or failing teeth problems. Perhaps other dentists have told you that you are not suitable for implants, but today is the day that everything changes!
While it can be a nerve-wracking and exciting experience, it doesn’t have to be daunting. Knowing what to expect can help you feel in control and confident about this important step in your journey towards a new and improved smile.
Upon arrival at 8am, you’ll be welcomed and seated in our quiet waiting area. Our treatment coordinator will address any concerns you may have regarding the procedure. Following anaesthesia or sedation, any remaining teeth are extracted, and dental implants are placed. This process takes approximately three hours per jaw.
Afterward, you’ll be escorted to a comfortable recovery area, where you can unwind as our on-site technician crafts your tailored initial bridges.
Finally, your new ‘smile in a day’ bridges will be fixed in place. You’ll depart with your first set of teeth, allowing you to eat and smile as you would with your final set. In a few months, you’ll return for your ultimate set of teeth.
At Dr Ayad Dentistry, we prioritise being welcoming, caring, understanding, professional, and friendly. Our team has helped hundreds of patients over the years, including many who were nervous or anxious about dental procedures. We recognise that some people may have had uncomfortable experiences in the past, and we don’t take it personally.
Our goal is to make every patient feel relaxed and confident throughout their entire journey with us. While you may need to be a little brave, we are confident that the results will be completely worth it.
For patients who are anxious or nervous, we offer two types of sedation:
The first option is oral sedation, which involves taking medication dissolved in water before and during the procedure. This can be used in addition to local anaesthetic.
The second option is intravenous sedation, which is administered via a needle in the arm and is also used in addition to local anaesthetic. Both options allow patients to remain awake and communicate with the clinicians during the procedure.
It’s important to note that the surgery is a precise and exacting process, where patient cooperation is essential for optimal precision implant placement, bite record taking, and prosthesis placement. Both sedation options also create an amnesic effect, which means that patients may experience partial or total loss of the procedure even though they are able to communicate during the process.
Many patients are amazed to learn that we can mill their dental implants from start to finish right here in our clinics during their surgery day. Our team has developed a unique set of techniques and processes that enable us to accomplish this task in our in-house labs.
We understand that a life-changing procedure such as our full jaw dental implant can be daunting, whether you are naturally nervous or not. That’s why we take great pride in our unique and unmatched approach.
Our state-of-the-art lab is fully integrated and equipped to create your prosthetic, while our team of experts is committed to managing even the most complex dental procedures.
From the beginning to the end of your surgery day, each member of Dr Ayad’s team handling your care will go the extra mile to ensure your comfort and peace of mind. You can trust that you are in good hands.
